Wilma Troy Hostess & Co-Owner

Wilma Troy- Den Herder stems from a long line of entrepreneurs. After working at the Amro Bank in Middelburg, she and Jos Troy acquired Villa Magnolia in 1985. The doors of the refurbished hotel opened on Easter 1986. She has worked as a hotelier with great pleasure for many years, until Jerry Troy took over in 2010. These days, Wilma Troy works as hostess and can often be found at the reception.

Favourite place at Villa Magnolia

Wilma’s favourite places can be found within the Villa. She enjoys the grandeur of the reception and the history of the kitchen. Before the Conservatory was constructed, Wilma used to prepare the breakfast in the traditional kitchen and serve the guests in their rooms. These days, the kitchen is used as a meeting place for guests and staff.

Oostkapelle is a paradise for those who like to walk. Starting at the forest of “de Manteling” a short walk will take you to the dunes and the beaches of Oostkapelle. The walk is best completed with a visit to the terrace of “De Boschhoek”. This cosy café-restaurant offers a variety of sweet treats as well as delicious lunches and dinners.
